On software tooling
Update: See HN comments for this article.
A company is not data-driven by using a BI tool.
A data-science team is not agile by using a ticketing system.
A study is not useful by presenting results in a fancy tool.
Using modern software does not imply intrinsic value.
A company can be data-driven just with a pen and paper.
A data-science team can be highly-performant just with a whiteboard.
A study can be impactful if presented just in a notepad.
What counts is the underlying hard-work, the focus on stuff that matters, and courage to make a decision.
